I plan to make filet mignon and crab legs for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day and have never tried to Crabs ago. I just bought 3 pre-cooked jumbo king crab legs, over 17 "long each was. The butcher preferred method steam, but they are so long, I know not as I do. It's ok, would you cut them into smaller pieces? Also any suggestions on how to serve them?
One way to dampen is, do not go, what I like about it is steam that they seem watery and not as a company. Prefer is to heat your oven to 375, cut the shell of the legs, cooking, using scissors, all the way in the middle (length wise) (It's okay if you penetrate the meat a bit) wrap both ends of the legs with foil (so the meat does not dry out the end) and bake for 10-12 minutes. I think that makes the flesh firm and thus have a better texture. Remember, they are already cooked, so whatever you want to achieve it heats up. ENJOY!
