Problem with Windows Update on Vista 64?

I have a new system / laptop runs on Windows 64 and I can not run Windows Update to have. It gives me an error code 80,244,018th I tried to run services.msc and check if the application is started, and I told the Microsoft Web site to the trusted sites, etc. .... But it does not work! Anybody had success fixing this issue? Thank you. Sorry, I forgot to add: my system is a brand new VISTA 64th i did not check in Event Viewer, and yes, it was there, but when I tried to solve, Microsoft could not find a solution to this Event ID ... Resloved: everything I had to do was turn off the firewall on my wireless router.
